About the Position

As a nurse at Löwenhjelmska House, you will be part of a team of five nurses and an occupational therapist. In addition to our close collaboration within the team, we also work with doctors and physiotherapists from the region.

Here, you play a key role in creating a meaningful everyday life for our residents. You will have nursing responsibility for 14 residents, which includes guiding in nursing, health, and medical care tasks.

Given the ongoing development in health and medical care for special accommodations for the elderly (SÄBO), we want you to contribute to improving and developing the care and services we provide. All development is done together in the team with occupational therapists, nursing staff, and unit managers.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • decide, implement, and follow up on nursing measures
  • be responsible for guidance and training in nursing
  • instruct and delegate health and medical care tasks to nursing staff
  • maintain contact and provide support to relatives
  • document in various quality registers and operational systems
  • participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations

About the Workplace

Löwenhjelmska House is located in Mellringe, close to nature and with good parking facilities. We have 56 residents distributed over four floors, where two departments focus on cognitive impairment and two departments focus on somatic issues. We also have designated Finnish-speaking places. As a nurse with us, you will be primarily based at Löwenhjelmska House but belong to the Väster 1 area in the new health and medical care organization. Väster 1 includes Löwenhjelmska House, Adrianska House, and Elgströmska House.

As a nurse at Löwenhjelmska House, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS) where we gather all nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's special accommodations under one organization. This way, we can create better conditions, equitable care, and safeguard Örebro municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means you will have a manager who is a licensed professional and thus well-informed about the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and residents, is a given for you. You communicate clearly and have the ability to ensure that information is conveyed. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in the challenges you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language well enough to communicate with residents and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • licensed nurse

Meritorious:

  • specialist training such as district nurse, dementia, geriatrics, or psychiatry
  • experience with documentation and operational systems such as Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Number of positions: 1

Working hours: day, evening, and weekend. Currently, it includes two weekends every twelve weeks.
