The field of radiology and hospital physics has a close collaboration within the radiology services of the region's three hospitals - Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. Radiology performs imaging diagnostics and interventions and participates in the patient's investigation, treatment, and screening. We conduct approximately 250,000 examinations per year and play an important role in medical diagnostics. We actively work to develop research in the field of radiology. Hospital physics operates in radiation therapy, X-ray diagnostics, and nuclear medicine, and we work with radiation protection while actively participating in research conducted at Örebro University Hospital.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the region's three acute hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality, had the best results in accessibility, economy, and the category of avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding. Radiology Nurses for VO Radiology and Hospital Physics USÖ

Örebro University Hospital is the smallest university hospital in the country. This allows us to work closely together in the clinic and in relation to other units. We support and work for each other and our patients' best interests. The radiology nursing group consists of employees of various ages who are all passionate about creating a good and developing work environment together. With us, you will work in nice facilities where all commonly occurring radiological activities are conducted with modern equipment. We are proud of our emergency radiology department that opened in 2022. There, we are part of a unit for advanced trauma care. We work closely with the trauma room of the emergency department with our trauma CT "on rails." Our employees perform CT examinations throughout the hospital with our mobile CT. By 2026, the emergency radiology will be complemented with a new MRI scanner. For the past two years, we have had a photon-counting CT for advanced CT examinations.

As we are a university clinic, interest in research and further education is something we value. Completion of a 7.5 ECTS course in MRI or CT is considered an asset. The clinic operates based on USÖ's values, which form the foundation of the operations.
