The General Psychiatry Clinic in Lindesberg is tasked with assessing, investigating, treating, and rehabilitating patients in need of specialized psychiatric interventions. We are located at Lindesberg Hospital, and our catchment area includes the municipalities of Lindesberg, Hällefors, Kopparberg, and Nora. We are a psychology team and a unit with great commitment, extensive knowledge, and experience. Together with other professional groups within the unit, we collaborate to provide the best possible care in the field of general psychiatry. We work closely with the Specialist Psychiatric Care Team Norr, with whom we also share premises. The outpatient care in general psychiatry is part of the general psychiatry operational area. Our clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective disorders, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy, as well as planned and urgent visits and telephone consultations. Rehabilitation is included as part of our work, as well as mobile interventions and patient and family education. Together, we work with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in the care. Psychiatry in Region Örebro County is a specialist operation divided into four operational areas, all with a strong focus on ethics, collaboration, and development, as well as a well-functioning education and research environment. The job responsibilities include, among other things, working under supervision with psychological treatment, as well as various types of investigations and assessments. Other psychological work may include supervision, training, consultation, and various forms of development work at the clinic.

Your PTP training will be designed according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and will include both individual-focused and other psychological work. Your supervisor at the clinic will work with you to develop your individual training plan and will guide you regularly throughout the year. The region's study director for PTP psychologists will also be available as support during your PTP year. You are guaranteed the opportunity to participate in our well-developed training program, where you, together with other PTP psychologists in the region, will participate in regular training activities in the form of lectures, seminars, and study visits within the region's operations. The training sessions also provide good opportunities for social interaction.
