School Psychologist for Student Health in Kumla Municipality

The Department for Lifelong Learning is Kumla Municipality's largest department with about 900 employees. The department provides services for children aged 0-20 years, including open preschool, preschool, after-school care, primary school, adapted primary school, high school, and adult education.

We are now looking for a school psychologist at 100% for student health in Kumla Municipality. The position is permanent and is an expansion. You will be one of 4 psychologists and part of our psychology team that primarily works with primary and adapted primary schools. Our workplaces are located next to each other at Folkets hus in Kumla. We have close collaboration with other staff within student health, including speech therapists, social workers, special educators, school nurses, and school doctors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include consultation, guidance for staff, and conducting school form investigations. You will perform psychological assessments and competency-enhancing educational initiatives in close collaboration with other staff in student health. You will participate in student health teams within your area.

Together with department heads, principals, and student health, you will work comprehensively in the municipality with strategic work. You will also be involved in developing preventive and health-promoting work in schools.

QUALIFICATIONS

Trained psychologist with Swedish license and several years of experience working with children and adolescents in the role of psychologist. You have documented experience in conducting investigations and guidance. We expect you to have good collaboration skills as the work involves contacts and cooperation at various levels within the organization as well as collaboration with social services and external actors such as child and youth clinics in the region.
