We are looking for an engaged physiotherapist with an interest in habilitation for the neuro and brain injury team in Örebro!

The neuro and brain injury team at the Adult Habilitation in Örebro County provides habilitation to individuals with brain injuries, neurological diseases, and/or mobility impairments. The goal of our efforts is to ensure that individuals with disabilities achieve increased participation and satisfaction in their daily lives. We are a team with good cohesion and an open atmosphere, where our professional roles complement each other. The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and speech therapists. The team has access to a neurologist for consultation on medical issues when needed. We carry out our interventions with a long-term perspective, focusing on daily life. We involve relatives and staff/personal assistants in our work. We collaborate with the network and other stakeholders responsible for interventions for our target group.

The Adult Habilitation also has county-wide services for other target groups such as the autism team, the team for intellectual disabilities, the sensory-based treatment team - experience/music therapy, and the Aphasia House.

As a physiotherapist in the neuro and brain injury team, you will have a broad and varied field of work and become part of a team. Your responsibilities include active participation in team work and general habilitation work such as initial visits, individual habilitation plans, and network meetings. We strive to provide our patients with the best conditions in their daily lives, and you will work both directly with patients and relatives and indirectly with the network through consultative work. You will independently plan your work in close collaboration with your entire team, based at Karlahuset in Örebro, covering our county areas. You will meet patients at our clinics, during home visits, and at their workplaces. You will carry out interventions alone or together with other professionals from the team.

Our patients often have spasticity issues, deformities, and motor difficulties. As a complement to other care, you will assess needs and offer interventions regarding positioning, mobilization, and pain relief. You will conduct functional assessments, initiate treatments, prescribe standing, walking, and exercise aids, design home training programs, offer training periods (including in a pool), and instruct/train networks and staff groups. At Adult Habilitation, we have access to training activities in a pool and training room. We also have the assistance of rehabilitation assistants.

You will work closely with occupational therapists regarding complex seating interventions. We also have close collaboration with assistive technology consultants at the Assistive Technology Center for complex seating. If necessary, you will refer to orthopedic technology or other specialist units, and sometimes accompany the patient there. We also have close cooperation with orthopedic doctors and orthopedic engineers. You may have advisory conversations about healthy lifestyle habits and provide advice and support to find ways to increase the patient's activity level.

Licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist. Interest and experience in habilitation and the relevant target groups are advantageous. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, which for us means interest and aptitude for collaboration within the team, within Adult Habilitation, and with external partners.

Since the work involves both teamwork and collaboration with other healthcare providers and authorities, good collaboration skills and flexibility are important qualities. Furthermore, it is crucial that you are a good communicator with the ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and finds motivation in seeing solutions and opportunities in complex situations.

A B driver's license is required as travel is included in the job.
