The open care of the Addiction Center in Region Örebro County consists of several specialized clinics:
- General Clinic (addiction issues and comorbidity)
- Kajsa Clinic (addiction and pregnancy/parenting)
- Maria Youth (youth 13-21 years with risk and substance abuse issues)
- NP Clinic (neuropsychiatric assessments and comorbidity)
- LARO Clinic (medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction)
As a PTP psychologist, you will have a unique opportunity to work in a broad and interdisciplinary environment with patients in various life situations and with varying complexity. With us, you will encounter a rich spectrum of psychological tasks, from assessment and evaluation to treatment, consultation, and teamwork.
The Addiction Center is part of the specialist psychiatry area. Within the addiction center, we assess and treat individuals with addiction issues and concurrent mental health problems. The services include both outpatient and inpatient care with various focuses such as clinics for LARO treatment, women with alcohol abuse, medication dependence, neuropsychiatry, gambling addiction, and Maria Youth. In collaboration with other community actors, there is a unit for cooperation against alcohol and drugs in traffic (SMADIT). An inpatient department with adapted care places for psychiatric intensive care and a detoxification unit is also part of the services. Together, we are around 150 employees working with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual and tailor our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in care.
The psychiatry in Region Örebro County is a specialist service divided into five areas, all with a strong focus on ethics, collaboration, and development, as well as a well-functioning education and research environment. Together, we are approximately 900 employees.

PTP psychologist for the Addiction Center's open care
Job ResponsibilitiesYour PTP is designed according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and the region's guidelines. The position offers:
- Both individual-focused work and other psychological treatment and assessment work
- An individual work plan that you design together with an appointed supervisor
- Regular professional supervision at least one hour per week
- A supervisor with at least three years of experience as a licensed psychologist and good insight into your daily work
The position covers 12 months full-time. It can also be divided between different services within outpatient care.
Training Program and Support
You will be part of Region Örebro County's well-developed PTP program, led by the region's PTP study director. The program includes:
- Lectures
- Seminars
- Study visits
- Collegial learning and a strong community with other PTP psychologists
The program is held every other Tuesday afternoon and is highly appreciated. You will also participate in introductory and closing meetings framed by the PTP study director.

Qualifications- Psychology degree that meets the requirements of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100).
- Meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for PTP employment according to SOSFS 2014:8.
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written (at least level C1).
- Ability to work in accordance with HSL, PSL, OSL, and the region's governing documents.
- Good computer skills and ability to work in digital journal systems.
Desirable:
- Experience in psychiatry, addiction, or neuropsychiatry
- Experience from work in people-oriented professions
- Interest in teamwork and collaboration with, for example, social services
- Knowledge of MI, CBT, assessment/diagnostics, etc.
