We are a general psychiatric outpatient clinic with the mission to provide specialized care for mental illness and health issues in adults. This is done in three different teams: general, ADHD, and lifecare teams, which include doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, administrators, and rehabilitation coordinators. You will primarily be directed towards the ADHD team but will also have a general role as a nurse that spans all teams.

The work as a nurse is performed in all teams. In the ADHD team, you will conduct visits and phone contacts for medication initiation and follow-up of central stimulants for patients with ADHD diagnosis, and if necessary, also perform laboratory tests and conduct suicide risk assessments. Other tasks shared with the entire nursing group include other medication follow-ups, administering injections, psychiatric follow-ups, and if necessary, contact with relatives. You will meet patients who have deteriorated in their mental health and have the opportunity to work therapeutically, supportively, and preventively in teams with other professionals at the clinic.

Together with colleagues, you will also staff the advice phone, handle cases that come in via 1177, as well as prescription and medication phone, and offer nursing consultations. An important part of the job is collaboration with other healthcare providers within the municipality and healthcare, and together with colleagues, you will be responsible for mentoring nursing students who are placed at our clinic.

Contributing to operational development is a natural part of the work.

As we in Psychiatry care for our patients and value patient safety highly, we will, in connection with recruitment, request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records from the National Police Board.
