At the endoscopy clinic, we perform colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and place PEG, and we have both outpatient and emergency visits. In March 2026, we will move to our new outpatient facilities and expand the clinic with an additional examination room.

The surgical area is a regional operation, which means close collaboration between the three hospitals in the region. The area has a regional assignment for acute and planned surgical procedures, and we also provide some highly specialized care for out-of-region patients. There are 350 employees in various units such as outpatient clinics, wards, surgery, and secretariat. Planned healthcare is increasingly located in Karlskoga and Lindesberg, and similarly, tumor and trauma activities are located in Örebro. Within the operational area, active development work is conducted with a focus on the patient throughout the care process.

The duties at the clinic include several different tasks such as: participating in examinations, monitoring during and after the examination, and administering medications during the examinations. Appointment booking and telephone advice are also part of our work.
