VO Health Professions is a new area of operation within specialized care. We are now looking for two occupational therapists to be placed in geriatrics at Örebro University Hospital.

Occupational Therapists Health Professions Area Geriatric Clinic

• Assessment of activity and functional ability (ADL and cognition).
• Planning and implementation of rehabilitative interventions.
• Prescription and testing of assistive devices.
• Fall prevention and activity adaptation.
• Participation in care planning and discharge processes.
• Collaboration with relatives and municipal actors.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team together with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other professionals. The position involves work in geriatric care wards where you assess and treat elderly patients with various diagnoses. Your tasks include investigating, assessing, planning, prescribing, and testing assistive devices as well as mobilization. The work is an important piece of the discharge process. You work independently, prioritize, and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you have close collaboration with physiotherapists and ward staff. Collaboration between inpatient care, primary care, and the municipality via Life Care. Document in the Cosmic journal system.

Licensed occupational therapist. Experience working in a hospital is an advantage. A valid driver's license is required as the work also involves outpatient care and home visits.

Employment Information:

Permanent employment starting 2026-04-01 or by agreement.

Temporary position until 2027-03-31 starting 2026-04-01 or by agreement.
