Nurse for Mobile Resource Suicide Prevention (MRS)Job Responsibilities

As a member of the Mobile Resource Suicide Prevention team, you will work very independently, with great personal responsibility and significant authority to organize your interventions. The initial contact with the patient should occur within 48 hours after the case is activated, and follow-up is then planned together with the patient and their relatives. Follow-up can take place via phone, digital visits, home visits, visits to the clinic, or other agreed locations. Support for survivors is often initiated by the survivors themselves or from other healthcare or emergency services.

Training initiatives are planned each semester, and priorities are made continuously. All team interventions are characterized by flexibility and adaptation to the needs expressed by the patient, the survivors, or those requesting training. A central part of the work is contact and collaboration with various units within psychiatry, other parts of the region, municipalities, and other healthcare providers in the county.

To thrive in the team, you need to be comfortable working independently and be able to make psychiatric assessments. You should also be flexible and have a solution-focused mindset to adapt quickly, as assignments may be given with short notice. A good knowledge of the psychiatric organization and contact pathways is helpful. In return, you will be offered an interesting, varied, and independent job where no day is the same. As a member of this team, you can also often influence the structure of your workdays within the framework of your working hours. Depending on the nature of the cases, we need to have, and do have, a good cohesion in the team where we support and help each other as needed.
