As an occupational therapist with us, you will be offered an exciting job consisting of varied tasks, providing opportunities for change and challenges. All units offer close collegial support. If you are offered a temporary position at a special housing facility, it is primarily that facility where you will work. However, we collaborate with colleagues at other facilities, which may also require assistance at other special housing facilities.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

About the Workplace

As an occupational therapist, you will cover for one or more of our special housing facilities for the elderly. We have 22 facilities spread across Örebro urban area and countryside with different sizes and focuses. If you are offered a temporary position at a facility, it is primarily that facility where you will work, but we collaborate with colleagues at other facilities, which may also require assistance at those. Since the size varies, so does the number of occupational therapists per facility, but regardless of where you work, there will be collegial support either at your own facility or another facility within the area. As an occupational therapist with us, you will be offered an exciting job with varied tasks, creating both change and challenges. We also give you great freedom to plan and organize your work. You will cover for our operations during the vacation period, but the idea is that the position starts somewhat earlier to allow for onboarding and handover.

In addition to our special housing for the elderly, we also need occupational therapists at Tullhuset, where we conduct assessments and rehabilitation for individuals in need of short-term care. Here, you will work with a wide variety of patients, leading to a very educational experience for you if you have the willingness and interest! We work across boundaries together with Region Örebro County, so our occupational therapists have close collaboration with physiotherapists from the geriatric department.

Qualifications

As an occupational therapist, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. You will have a lot of contact with tenants/customers/patients, relatives, and staff, which requires you to be clear in your communication and have a good demeanor that fosters trusting relationships. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants/customers/patients and other staff, as well as document what the operations require.
