About the Position
We at Skebäcksgården offer the opportunity to become part of our operations with a focus on teamwork and person-centered care.
At Skebäcksgården, we work based on trust with a strong sense of personal responsibility. You will work both independently and collaboratively to provide high-quality care and support. As a nurse at Skebäcksgården, you will also be part of the municipality's HSL collaboration, meaning you will work days, evenings, and weekends across several special care facilities in Örebro. You will work with a structured nursing process, where you assess, make decisions, set goals, implement actions, and follow up based on person-centered and preventive care. We work with short-term care, alternating care, somatic care beds, and palliative safety beds, offering a workplace with varied tasks!
Examples of tasks include:
- Nursing responsibility based on assignment documents
- Medical care for residents, including planning, implementation, and follow-up/evaluation of nursing and medical measures
- Instructing and delegating health and medical tasks to nursing staff
- Collaborating with other team members and other professions
- Contacting relatives and next of kin
- Documenting in our operational systems to ensure safe and high-quality care
- Contributing to the development of the operations, daring to think new thoughts, and striving for continuous improvement
About the Workplace
Skebäcksgården is beautifully located next to Wadköping and Stadsparken in Öster, Örebro. There are 59 places distributed across five departments. We have departments for short-term care, alternating care, somatic care beds, and palliative safety beds. Approximately 75 employees work here, distributed among nursing assistants, assistant nurses, nurses, an occupational therapist, an administrator, service assistants, and two unit managers.

As a nurse at Skebäcksgården, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS). All nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's special care facilities work under the same organization to create better conditions, equal care, and safeguard Örebro Municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means having a manager who is fundamentally licensed and thus well-versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications
As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your treatment, both towards colleagues and residents/customers/patients, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure information reaches its destination. Furthermore, you adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Additionally, you must master the Swedish language to communicate with residents/customers/patients and other staff, as well as document as required by the operations. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse
- Class B driver's license

- Documented experience of working as a nurse within municipal operations
- Previous experience of working with end-of-life care
