The Unit for Clinical Studies (EKS) is part of the Research and Education Organization of Region Örebro County. Here, clinical research is conducted on patients across many different therapeutic areas with various diagnoses on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, and academia. The unit's mission includes all aspects of clinical studies - from idea to completed and reported study.
We are expanding the unit and are now looking for two research nurses to join us.
Currently, 19 people work at EKS. The team, consisting of nurses, project managers, monitors, and doctors, not only strives for high competence in the field, professional care, and great flexibility, but we also want to be a workplace characterized by warmth, participation, and joy.
Within the Research and Education area (FoU), there are about 300 employees in seven different operational areas. Here, there is expertise to provide positive conditions for medical research, education, pharmaceutical issues, and the connection between health and the environment. The area supports clinical research and education to provide the best possible conditions for citizens' health, care, and welfare.

Research Nurse, Unit for Clinical Studies (EKS) USÖResponsibilitiesAs a research nurse/study coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring that study-related tasks are carried out in accordance with the study protocol and in compliance with applicable routines, guidelines, and regulations, focusing on the health and well-being of study participants. You will be responsible for coordinating several parallel studies together with colleagues.
The work involves planning and conducting studies with a focus on the patient, which includes:
- Coordinating appointments regarding e.g., personnel, equipment, examinations, etc.
- Practical study-related tasks such as sample collection, sample handling, EKG, spirometry, blood pressure, and/or other study-specific examinations
- Medication management
- Responsible for training study procedures to participants and other clinical staff
- Administration of study-related documentation
- Contact and coordination with other entities such as the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacies, labs, radiology, etc.
- Closing studies at the clinic and preparing documents for archiving

QualificationsWe are looking for you who are a Registered Nurse with experience in healthcare and a good understanding of the English language.

Meritorious:
- Experience in clinical studies.
- We value qualities such as a positive attitude, responsibility, meticulous/analytical ability, and good collaboration skills.
