School Speech Therapist for Student Health in Kumla Municipality

Would you like to help develop the preventive and health-promoting student health work in Kumla?
We are now looking for a school speech therapist for the student health team directed towards primary schools. You will work closely with the student health team consisting of school social workers, school nurses, school doctors, school psychologists, school speech therapists, and school attendance coaches, as well as operational managers, principals, and special educators.
The mission of the student health team is to work proactively and preventively to contribute to creating learning environments that provide students with the conditions for positive knowledge development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a school speech therapist in Kumla Municipality, you have a municipality-wide role and work closely with the current school speech therapist. You will work together on issues related to language and communication. At the request of principals and the operational manager for student health, you will work on school and teaching development within reading, writing, language, and communication. You will primarily work preventively through training, consultation, and supervision for educators. You will conduct assessments regarding students' development in language and communication.
The work is based on the school's educational mission. You will collaborate and participate in network work with internal and external actors to ensure and develop the schools' competencies and to remove barriers to learning.
Here you will have the opportunity to collaborate with principals and others within the competencies of student health and colleagues at the schools. We see teamwork as important for good student health.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a qualified licensed speech therapist with work experience in the field.
Experience working in schools is an advantage. We see that you find it stimulating to contribute to school development. You have a good ability to create good relationships, are good at collaborating, and can manage many contact points. You are responsible for documentation and are structured in planning and prioritizing your work time. We use the journal system Prorenata.
You have good knowledge of language-developing working methods and knowledge of Swedish as a second language. You are used to working independently. Experience in development work is an advantage. Knowledge of and experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities is also an advantage.
