About the Position

Welcome to apply for a temporary position in the municipality's home healthcare and health and medical care unit (HSE)!

Örebro Municipality has five home healthcare areas (Southeast, Northeast, Northwest, West, and Östernärke) as well as a separate Health and Medical Care Unit (HSE) that works with residents who have personal assistance, live in group or service housing, and/or attend daily activities based on LSS decisions. The providers are either within municipal or private management.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will be offered an exciting job with patient groups of various ages, diagnoses, and life situations. The work consists of varied tasks, providing opportunities for change and challenges. In all units, there is the possibility of close collegial support. The home healthcare areas are divided based on geographical areas, while the HSE unit has assignments throughout Örebro Municipality.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

Home Healthcare

• the municipality's home healthcare has a primary care mission for all residents of the municipality, regardless of age
• you work with various patient groups of all ages living in ordinary housing
• you work with the patient's needs at the center based on a person-centered approach to enable as independent a life as possible for the individual
• you assess, plan, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions according to the occupational therapy process
• you assess the individual's need for environmental adjustments, aids, and strategies
• you prescribe and trial aids according to the prescription process
• you write certificates and statements
• you work independently and in teams with colleagues and other professional categories
• you inform, educate, guide, and instruct care staff
• you document independently in quality registers and operational systems

Health and Medical Care Unit (HSE)

• you work with various patient groups from 18/21 years and older who have personal assistance, live in group or service housing, and/or attend daily activities based on an LSS decision
• you assess, plan, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions according to the occupational therapy process
• you assess the individual's need for environmental adjustments, aids, and strategies
• you prescribe and trial aids according to the prescription process
• you write certificates and statements
• you work independently and in teams with colleagues and other professional categories
• you inform, educate, guide, and instruct base staff and personal assistants
• you document independently in quality registers and operational systems

About the Workplace

Home Healthcare West operates from a shared location centrally located in western Örebro. Our unit consists of over 40 employees, of which about 15 are occupational therapists. Our catchment area includes both urban and rural settings, in a varied and pleasant area. We travel by both bicycle and car to our patients.

Home Healthcare Northeast and parts of Northwest operate from Hälsokvarteret Wadköping, located above Skebäcks Health Center. We in home healthcare collaborate with other services such as several home care groups, the evening organization for nurses at Säbo, and night nurses. The new workplace is designed with activity-based areas that promote collaboration, well-being, and a modern way of working. Currently, 12 occupational therapists, several nurses, and nursing assistants work in Hsv Northeast and Northwest.

Two areas, Vivalla-Lundby and Axberg, which belong to Hsv Northwest, remain in their existing premises. Those working there include a total of 6 occupational therapists, as well as nurses and nursing assistants. Our catchment area is urban and rural, where we both walk, cycle, and drive to our patients.

Home Healthcare Southeast operates from Ladugårdsängen (Ängen). There are good opportunities for collaboration and collegial support as our unit consists of about 35 employees, of which 14 are occupational therapists. Our catchment area is varied, including both urban and rural settings. We travel by both bicycle and car.

HSE operates from a shared location in Vasastan in Örebro. The catchment area is the entire Örebro Municipality, and we travel by bicycle or car. The unit consists of approximately 35 employees (occupational therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, operational support, and unit managers). Eight of these are occupational therapists.

Requirements:

• licensed occupational therapist
• B driver's license manual transmission
• ability to cycle
• good computer skills
• ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing

Meritorious:

• previous experience in municipal health and medical care
• experience with individuals receiving support according to LSS
• knowledge and experience of the operational systems Lifecare HSL and Lifecare SP
