At Degerfors Municipality, you will receive a unique combined role where you lead our newly established central student health services while working closely with operations as our school psychologist.
In Degerfors, we want all children and young people to have equal opportunities for a successful school career. In this work, we see our student health services as a vital function. Starting in the autumn term, we will organize the medical, psychosocial, and psychological interventions of student health into a central organization. This means we are looking for a person who will work 50% as Head of Student Health and 50% as the municipality's school psychologist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of Head of Student Health, you have overall responsibility for the municipality's cohesive student health services. This includes, among other things, serving as the operational manager for EMI (Student Health Medical Intervention) and EPI (Student Health Psychological Intervention). You drive the preventive and health-promoting work at a strategic level and are a central actor in the systematic quality work of student health. As a manager, you will lead our counselors and school nurses. Since this is a new position, there are good opportunities to help shape the content of the role. You will report directly to the School Principal and be part of the Culture and Education Department's management team.
As a School Psychologist, you will work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. The work involves being part of the schools' interdisciplinary student health teams and working primarily with promoting and preventive measures that contribute to creating environments that foster students' learning, development, and health. The school psychologist's role is to contribute psychological competence as support in the pedagogical work. The school psychologist's assignment also includes conducting psychological assessments and evaluations, as well as providing supervision and consultation to central student health staff and the school's pedagogues, special educators, and principals.
The school psychologist should contribute knowledge regarding protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, for example, through training on mental health.
As we are a small organization, other tasks may also occur, creating variety. The content and conditions of the assignment may change over time in dialogue with the immediate supervisor.

- Licensed psychologist
- Good understanding of the school's mission and the role of student health
- Experience in leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments with children and young people
- Experience in education and supervision
- Driver's license
