The Department of Pediatrics in Örebro conducts a broad pediatric operation and has high competence in many subspecialty areas.

The Children and Youth Clinic at USÖ is the county's specialist care center for children and adolescents up to 18 years old. We are a wonderful team of about 20 employees. Here we work in multiprofessional teams where collaboration, commitment, and a family-centered approach are in focus.

Within the Department of Pediatrics, we conduct a broad pediatric operation and have good competence in many subspecialty areas. We have a children's ward with 18 beds and a neonatal ward with 10 beds for newborns from gestational week 25+0. We have a daycare for children, and the operation has a very well-functioning mobile child team. Outpatient services are provided at the subspecialty clinic at USÖ and at three general pediatric clinics in Örebro, Lindesberg, and Karlskoga. At the Children and Youth Clinic, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, teachers, and play therapists work closely together with each other and with other healthcare staff. Nurse for the Children and Youth Clinic, Örebro

Your main work will be as one of two contact nurses in our obesity team. The team works with children and adolescents with obesity and their families, focusing on long-term and sustainable lifestyle changes. As a contact nurse, you will play a central role in the treatment and often serve as the family's primary contact in care. The work involves following children and families over time, planning and conducting outpatient visits, and providing support in the change processes. You will work closely with doctors and several paramedical professionals.

The work as a contact nurse is combined with performing health assessments according to the Social Services Act for children and young people placed outside their own homes. You are also part of the shared operation with telephone counseling and sampling.

You are a licensed nurse with at least three years of professional experience. We prefer that you have a specialist education in pediatrics, but we also welcome those with other relevant further education or those interested in further education.

The work requires good communication skills and that you enjoy working closely with children, adolescents, and their families. You find it easy to collaborate and cooperate both within the team and with external partners.
