Welcome to our team!
Do you want to work in an environment where calm days are mixed with a fast pace, where tasks are varied and teamwork is a natural part of everyday life? Do you enjoy working towards a common goal and are you curious and engaged? Then you might be the one we are looking for. We are seeking nurses who, together with us, want to continue developing postoperative and day surgery care at USÖ. Our goal is to create an attractive workplace with a strong focus on patient safety, quality, and a good working environment - a workplace to be proud of.
Since September 2023, our unit has been providing day surgery and postoperative care in both H-building and O-building. The postoperative care is open 24/7, all year round, while day surgery is conducted Monday to Friday.
The area of anesthesiology and intensive care operates at the region's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. It is a large area with about 400 employees. Our fields of work include anesthesia, intensive care, surgical services (postop and day surgery), and a neuro-intermediate department. At Karlskoga Hospital, there is an anesthesia department, an intensive care unit, and a postoperative unit.
Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the three acute hospitals in the county where we provide advanced medical care, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from the newspaper Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality, had the best results in accessibility, economy, and the category of avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding. USÖ also tops the results in the areas of heart, kidney failure, and vascular surgery. USÖ has around 3500 employees. We who work here are very proud of our hospital and base our work on collaboration, development, and professionalism.
Region Örebro County is one of the largest employers in the county and an important growth engine in the region. We work for people's health, safety, and well-being and for the county's development. With us, there are exciting and important jobs in health and medical care, dental care, public transport, culture, and business development. Together we create a better life.
