The General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Hallsberg is tasked with assessing, investigating, treating, and rehabilitating patients in need of specialized psychiatric care. We are located in the same premises as primary care and the Public Dental Service in Hallsberg. Our catchment area includes Hallsberg, Kumla, and Askersund, with a combined population of approximately 48,000 inhabitants. We are now seeking a psychologist who wishes to be part of our staff. We are organized into interdisciplinary treatment teams and work in an evidence-based manner in accordance with national guidelines. Teamwork permeates the daily work at the clinic, and we collaborate with each other both within and between professional groups. The breadth of the work makes the days varied and eventful.

There are excellent train connections between Örebro and Hallsberg, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk from Hallsberg Central Station to the clinic. We are located in the same premises as primary care and the Public Dental Service in Hallsberg.

Responsibilities include assessments, diagnostic investigations, neuropsychiatric investigations, individual treatment interventions, and leading group therapies. Assignments as a consultant psychologist to the health centers may be part of the role.

You will play an important role in the daily work as well as an actor and resource for the development of the operation. We offer you a varied and independent job with a high degree of participation and responsibility in an operation with an open, pleasant atmosphere and strong cohesion within the staff group.

We are looking for a licensed psychologist, preferably with a few years of experience in psychiatry. In-depth knowledge/specialization in and interest in trauma treatment, such as PE (Prolonged Exposure) and EMDR, is an asset. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

General psychiatric outpatient care is part of the general psychiatry operational area. Our general psychiatric clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective disorders, neuropsychiatric investigations, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy, as well as planned and acute visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is part of our work, as are mobile interventions through our specialized psychiatric nursing teams (SPOT) and patient and relative education. Together, we work with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the human being and adapt care interventions to the patient's needs and conditions. We work to promote the participation of relatives in care.
