Payroll Manager at Leo’s
We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented Payroll Manager who wants to build and further develop effective, quality-assured payroll processes in an international group where children's movement is at the center. Are you a meticulous and structured person who is passionate about payroll, has clear leadership, and thrives in a role where you combine operational work with leading and developing both people, routines, and systems? Then this could be the next step for you.
About the Role
Leo’s payroll department is now seeking a Payroll Manager who has overall responsibility for the group's payroll function and plays a central role in our continued development. The payroll department is an important support function for our 63 play centers in five countries – Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Germany – with approximately 1,800 employees. You will be based at our headquarters in Luleå and lead and develop the payroll department, which currently consists of three colleagues. You report to the Finance Manager and work closely with the HR function to ensure effective, accurate, and well-functioning processes within payroll and labor law.
Responsibilities
As Payroll Manager, you are responsible for driving, developing, and quality-assuring payroll work within the group. Your main tasks include:
- Ensuring accurate and quality-assured salaries and contributing to monthly financial closings
- Identifying, managing, and minimizing risks in payroll processes
- Driving improvement and development work within payroll, routines, and payroll systems
- Ensuring that the payroll department is a proactive support function for our play centers
- Working operationally with payroll management in one or more countries to some extent
- Collaborating closely with colleagues at headquarters and maintaining ongoing contact with the operations organization and our play centers
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience in payroll administration of Swedish salaries, preferably in a role where you have been responsible for developing routines, work methods, or systems. You are motivated by continuous development and have a clear drive to improve processes, systems, and your colleagues.
You have good knowledge of Excel, a strong interest in systems and digital work methods, and fluent skills in Swedish and good knowledge of English in both speech and writing. Experience in payroll administration in our Nordic neighboring countries and/or Germany, as well as knowledge of Finnish or German, is an advantage but not a requirement.
We place great emphasis on personality. To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are meticulous, structured, self-driven, and responsible. You have experience in leading and developing others, formally or informally, have good collaboration skills, and contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
About Leo’s
Leo’s is a values-driven company where our four values permeate everything we do: Loyalty, Commitment, Care, and Collaboration. With us, you become part of an organization where we together create joy, movement, and development – every day.
Other
The position is a permanent full-time employment with placement at the headquarters in Luleå. The employment is covered by a collective agreement and offers favorable conditions, such as a wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK and many social activities. Start date is according to agreement, preferably immediately. The application deadline is February 8th, and selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
We welcome your application today!
