NorDan AB is now looking for an accountant to our headquarters in Tanumshede.

The role combines responsibility for inventory accounting with work in accounts receivable and suits you who thrive on the variation between administrative and analytical tasks.

You will work at the intersection of accounting, production, and business and become an important part of our finance team. In this role, you actively contribute to ensuring high quality, good structure, and efficient financial flows in the business.

About the role

As an accountant, you will work with both inventory and accounts receivable and have a central function in ensuring correct accounting, follow-up, and analysis. You will work closely with production, sales, logistics, and other parts of the finance function and contribute to quality in financial statements, reporting, and ongoing processes.

The role is broad, varied, and provides good insight into the entire business flow – from production and inventory to invoicing and payment. The role is mainly operational but also includes follow-up, analysis, and participation in monthly and annual financial statements.

Responsibilities

Inventory Accounting

  • Responsibility for finished goods inventory, raw materials inventory, and WIP (Work in Progress)
  • Standard cost calculations including MO/LO
  • Ongoing bookkeeping and accruals
  • Reconciliations and quality assurance of inventory balances
  • Booking of material and price deviations
  • Analysis and reconciliation

Accounts Receivable

  • Credit and limit controls as well as customer setup
  • Handling of advance invoicing, credits, and monthly invoicing
  • Reconciliation of accounts receivable, accounts, and customs-related flows
  • Approval of trade invoices
  • Backup in invoicing when needed
  • Supporting material for financial statements, reports, analyses, and budgeting
  • Participation in monthly and annual financial statements, annual reports, and declarations

Qualifications

  • We are looking for someone who has:
  • Post-secondary education in finance/accounting
  • Experience in accounting, preferably from manufacturing
  • Good understanding of inventory accounting and/or accounts receivable
  • Good understanding of accounting, VAT, and invoicing regulations
  • Experience with reconciliations, analyses, and financial statement work
  • Good system skills (ERP systems) and very good knowledge of Excel
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Good digital competence and communication skills in Swedish and English

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period, located at the headquarters in Tanumshede, full-time. Start date and salary according to agreement.
