We are looking for an operational HR & Payroll Specialist for an international industrial group in strong development. You will be a key person in the daily HR service and work closely with the operations organization in several countries.

About the role

This is a hands-on role with a focus on operational HR work, administration, agreements, personnel matters, and close support to managers. You will serve as the first HR contact for the organization and support managers in everything from employment conditions to labor law, interpretation of collective agreements, personnel administration, and follow-up.

  • At the same time, you will be responsible for quality assurance of payroll data and be a requirement setter against external payroll partners. The role suits you who enjoys administrative flows and is confident in guiding managers in operational HR matters. Travel may occur, approximately 20 days/year.
Your operational HR tasks

Manager support & personnel matters

  • Be the first-line HR support for operational managers in matters of employment, labor law, working hours, benefits, and collective agreements
  • Support managers in labor law matters, negotiations (and in handling personnel issues)
  • Ensure that managers follow agreements and guidelines and provide concrete advice in everyday situations
  • Draft employment contracts, manage onboarding, and administer employment changes

Personnel administration

  • Administer HRM systems and manage pensions, insurances, and benefits
  • Support the business in the administration of schedules, shift models, and working time issues
  • Handle personnel administration also for international units (Poland, Belgium)

Collective agreements & labor law

  • Apply and interpret Swedish and Finnish collective agreements for collective employees and executives within industry and Swedish trade
  • Be an internal expert on agreement interpretation and respond to questions from both managers and employees
  • Participate in and sometimes lead negotiations (e.g., salary revisions)

Payroll processes (operational and quality assurance)

  • Ensure that all data is correct before payroll runs
  • Deliver time, absence, travel, expenses, and benefits data to external payroll partners
  • Review and approve salaries for Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Belgium
  • Coordinate and administer salary revisions and salary mapping
  • Work closely with the payroll provider and drive improvements in processes and routines
Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in both payroll and operational HR work. You thrive in a daily environment where you are the hub between operational managers, the business, and the external payroll partner.

You are:

  • Very self-driven - comfortable being the HR expert in the organization
  • Structured & meticulous - the work is detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Communicative - you are clear and pedagogical in dialogue with managers
  • Systematic - you like order, structure, and administrative flows
  • Service-oriented - you have a natural sense of supporting and guiding managers

It is a plus if you have experience from an industrial environment or similar operational organizations.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll and collective agreements
  • Experience in operational HR work (and manager support)
  • Good system proficiency, especially in HR and payroll systems
  • Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing
Meritorious
  • Experience with Finnish collective agreements
  • Flex HRM, SAP, Qlik
  • Experience from industrial operations
