Preschool Leko is centrally located at Jarlaplan on Rehnsgatan 3, Vasastan/Östermalm, close to some of Stockholm's beautiful parks and green areas. Leko is a parent cooperative that started back in 1989 and has a long and solid experience in running preschool activities with experienced educators. The preschool has small child groups and a high staff density with a total of 26 places for children aged 1-5 years. At Leko, we work according to the curriculum in a safe, fun, and learning environment.

About the role

As a substitute teacher, you will work in child groups with children aged 1-5 years at our preschool Leko. We often have a need for substitutes. The need can apply both as a replacement for short-term absence but also for longer absence. We are now looking for someone who can step in regularly as needed with the possibility to work about 2 days/week (mainly on Wednesday/Thursday - full day) on average.

If you are hired as a substitute teacher, you must be able to step in at short notice in case of absence of the regular staff. It is required that you are responsible and have a great ability to be flexible, as the work involves being able to quickly adapt to new environments. You should be able to both collaborate and work independently in a team, and have the ability to contribute to a functioning operation together with others.

To succeed in the role, we see that you

• are over 18 years old

• preferably have previous experience working with children

• enjoy being outdoors and moving

• have the task in focus

• have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• have the ability to come in and work at short notice

As a person, we would like to see that you are active, take initiative, are driven, and enjoy having fun at work. You have good collaboration skills, are curious, positive, and see opportunities instead of obstacles.

Leko is a well-functioning parent cooperative. We offer you to work in small child groups together with an engaged, experienced, and professional staff group with very low staff turnover. The work includes free pedagogical meals. The working hours for substitutes will never be earlier than 8:00 or later than 17:00.
