Social Worker at Karolinska University Hospital

About the position
As a social worker with us, you will work with patients cared for in emergency, trauma surgical, and intensive care departments and their relatives. Among other things, you may work with patients who have been seriously injured in accidents or who need intensive care due to serious medical complications.
Examples of job tasks:
- crisis and support conversations with patients, relatives, and loved ones
- bereavement conversations with relatives and loved ones
- work in a medical team around the patient where the social worker is expected to take an active part
- advice on social issues
- contacts with authorities
- collaboration with other healthcare providers and voluntary organizations

This advertisement concerns a temporary position lasting until December 31, 2026.
We are looking for someone who

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work
- Experience in social work
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Meritorious:
- Licensed healthcare social worker
- Experience in healthcare, intensive care, and/or emergency flow operations.
