About us

Torekällberget is the museum of Södertälje Municipality and an established destination for both locals and visitors from afar. Here, cultural history, living environments, and everyday life from the past come together in a whole that engages over 100,000 visitors annually. Kafé Lindbloms is a central part of the overall experience of the place. Our goal is for the café to be a natural reason to visit, a place to remember, return to, and recommend. Here we want to both preserve and develop Swedish coffee and food culture, focusing on craftsmanship, ingredients, and taste experiences that belong to the place.

Your responsibilities

As the café manager, you have overall responsibility for Kafé Lindbloms, both in daily operations and in the development of the café as a destination. You drive the work from idea to finished guest experience and are an important part of Torekällberget's continued development.

Your role includes, among other things:
- Developing the range and menus based on Swedish coffee traditions, season, and the history of the place
- Creating an attractive and cohesive café offering that strengthens Torekällberget's overall experience
- Baking and cooking, staffing the café and kitchen.
- Planning and adapting operations based on season, events, and varying visitor flows
- Leading and scheduling café staff
- Ensuring quality, hygiene, routines, and legal requirements

Together with your colleagues at Torekällberget, you work to constantly refine our offering to visitors. The position includes regular weekend work.
 

Who are you?

You have experience in a café or restaurant and are driven to develop operations that meet the public. You see food, coffee, and hospitality as part of a larger experience and thrive in a role where you are responsible for both the details and the whole. As a person, you should be organized and structured, as well as good at leading and inspiring others. You can work independently and intensely when required, while also being a team player with the best interests of the operation in mind.

Requirements:
- Documented experience of working in a café or restaurant
- Good knowledge of hygiene and food legislation.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English. Other languages are a merit.

Meritorious:
- Experience in developing café or restaurant concepts in public and/or cultural historical environments
- Experience in seasonal operations or visitor-intensive environments
- Experience in leading groups
- Experience in mentoring work-training colleagues.
- B driver's license
