Interim Position as Operational Purchaser
The Assistive Technology Operations are responsible for the operation of assistive services for people with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as county-wide responsibility for individuals in need of consumable aids at home, medical technology equipment at home, and communication, cognition, vision, and hearing aids.

Consumable aids at home (FHH) is one of four assistive technology operations within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO) and Region Stockholm.
Our area of responsibility and product range at FHH includes nutrition, incontinence aids, diabetes aids, dressings and medical supplies, as well as compression materials. We distribute our products via our warehouse to approximately 182,000 individual patients each year. Our warehouse handles about 4 million product packages each year and distributes around 2,300 deliveries every day.
The position is an interim role for our current operational purchaser. The work consists of being responsible for and executing the purchases of products for our warehouse. You are responsible for ensuring that the warehouse has high availability of products in the most efficient way possible. Low waste and effective inventory management are important parts of the responsibility in this role.
You will collaborate directly with our product suppliers and our warehouse to ensure that purchases are made in the smoothest way possible. The work involves a high degree of accuracy and independence, where you will develop new processes. The job requires you to be the spider in the web by communicating and setting requirements towards colleagues and suppliers. Good experience in operational purchasing is required.
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar purchasing role in FMCG from the grocery or pharmaceutical industry or similar.
- Very good experience in purchasing/orders of goods in ordering systems that have a high degree of automation, such as self-generating orders.
- Very good experience in contact with product suppliers, logistics providers, and setting requirements for them.
- Good ability to perform administrative tasks at a high pace both via phone and in business systems.
- Good computer skills and ability to work in various system solutions and common software related to the role.
- Swedish language skills equivalent to C1.
- Good knowledge of English with a particular focus on logistics.
- Highly responsible with good references from previous assignments.
- Experience in a similar role with larger flows and responsibility for those flows.
- A strong sense of responsibility. This work is a vital societal function where high demands are placed on delivering quality every day of the year.
- It is advantageous if you have experience in logistics or specifically transport logistics.

- Have a drive to streamline purchasing flows, partly with the help of automated systems.
- Have very good knowledge of the Office suite and be a skilled user of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Thrive in a fast-paced/variable pace environment and be willing to roll up your sleeves during peak work periods.
- Place great importance on ensuring that details and quality work are maintained at a high level.
- Have good collaboration skills and be able to be a spider in the web within your organization.
It is advantageous if:
- You have a post-secondary degree in the field.

We are located in pleasant premises in the new Karolinska area next to the Public Health Agency.

In patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
