In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme delivers district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We provide sustainable heating to approximately 200,000 Swedish households, as well as heating, cooling, and steam to industrial customers. We actively work according to a clear plan to reduce fossil emissions in our cities, our own heat production, and from our suppliers, with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. We are particularly proud that our main product, district heating, plays such an important role in the energy transition and the new circular society.

About the Role

As Sales Manager within Värme Sweden, you will lead and develop an organization responsible for both business and customer relations. The role includes new and additional sales within district heating, district cooling, steam, and related services, with a clear focus on long-term stability and customer relationships.

You will ensure that the sales work is conducted in a businesslike and responsible manner, in close dialogue with our customers and in line with Vattenfall's goals for customer satisfaction and profitability over time. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop as a leader in an organization characterized by complexity and variation. You will handle a variety of high-level tasks, giving you a broad commercial scope and a chance to truly make a difference.

The role also includes influencing the direction and development of both the Sales marketing unit and Värme Sweden. You will be a key player in shaping the future of these areas, providing you with a significant platform to showcase your leadership and strategic abilities.

Additionally, the position involves building strong relationships with our key customers and representing the company in various external contexts.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership:
  • Lead a department with about ten employees with work planning and distribution.
  • Ensure regular follow-up and strategic development to ensure that the department meets its goals.
  • Promote a good working environment and work on issues related to employee well-being and development.
  • Operational Work:
  • Be responsible for sales and customer care activities.
  • Communicate clearly and credibly with customers to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Personally participate in important business negotiations and external events such as Price Dialogues, customer events, or meetings with municipal representatives.
  • Support salespeople in obtaining mandates for their business by guiding them through Vattenfall's decision-making processes.
  1. Collaboration and Support:
  • Collaborate primarily with the marketing department, product department, and Värme's distribution unit to improve customer experiences and communication, contribute to product development and management, and implement new connection projects.

You will report to the Director of Sales Sweden and be part of the Sales Sweden management team. As the leader of Sales & Customer Care, you will collaborate with managerial colleagues within Värme as well as with external customers and authorities. You will also participate in internal forums such as investment committees.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Leadership experience, either as a manager, team lead, or project manager, preferably within sales.
  • Education: Master of Science in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience with business calculations, negotiation skills, and a good understanding of business economic concepts.
  • Knowledge of the energy and/or real estate industry as well as B2B sales.

You have the ability to engage and motivate your team and communicate clearly and credibly with both internal and external stakeholders.
