Housing with special services area 2 in Järva social services administration is responsible for 7 group and service housing and for the Järva personal assistant unit.

Common to the area is that we work with the user's best interests in focus. The support is individually tailored, and great importance is placed on good quality and safety in the home. The support is guided by the individual’s needs, conditions, and participation.

We are now looking for five (5) substitute support assistants for group and service housing located in Spånga. It is beneficial if you can work varying hours, as there are awake night shifts at one of the operations. As a substitute, you will replace regular staff as needed. In the group and service housing, there primarily live individuals with various disabilities, including neuropsychiatric conditions and those on the autism spectrum.

Your role

As a support assistant, you will meet the individual needs of the users and support them in all situations of daily life. The goal is to support the users towards greater independence. The work is done with respect for the users' right to self-determination and integrity.

You will act as a colleague, which means providing support and service based on the individual needs of the residents. You will support, motivate, and assist residents in their daily lives, as well as interpret and clarify everyday situations. You will work according to the resident's implementation plan and daily routines. You will collaborate with guardians, relatives, case managers, daily activities, healthcare, etc.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed education from the care program with a focus on disabilities or the child and leisure program, alternatively support pedagogue/social pedagogue or equivalent documented care and/or educational training.
• Experience in the field and with the target group of individuals with autism and neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
• Good computer skills.
• Good command of Swedish in speech and writing, as you will have supportive conversations with users, reporting, and documentation.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with cognitive aids such as sign language.

The tasks require a high degree of personal responsibility, flexibility, and initiative, and we are looking for someone who acts professionally. We work based on the individual, and all users have different support needs. Structure, routines, and planning are key words to make the operation function. We also see that you take good initiative and have the ability to collaborate as well as the ability to work independently. We will place great importance on the personal qualities that are important in collaboration with others.
