At Södermalm's daily operations, we conduct daily activities according to LSS distributed across three locations in Danvikstull, Hammarbysjöstad, and Skansen.

We are part of the Provider Unit at Södermalm's social department. Stockholm City’s quality program and the focus on Stockholmers form the basis for all the work we do. We are now looking for a temporary support assistant for our Danvikstull operation to complement our team!

We offer

Danvikstull is a daily operation with support pedagogues, support assistants, and support aides in the staff group, who provide support to our approximately 28 participants belonging to LSS person group 1.

We are a daily operation for adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities with elements of autism or autism-like conditions. We offer social interaction and enjoyable activities primarily in the aesthetic area.

Many of our participants have a combination of several functional variations, have mobility impairments, and/or lack spoken language.

We work to create a communicative environment with a clearly “speaking” physical environment adapted to the participants' needs, where the staff plays an important role. To enable our participants to be involved and have influence in the operation, we create a communicative environment tailored to them. Our staff has high competence in AAC (alternative and augmentative communication).

As a Support Assistant at Södermalm's daily operations, your main assignment is at Danvikstull, but you may need to work at one of our other operations during absences or other occasions. We offer all employees training in "The Pedagogical Framework" and an individual competence plan. You will be offered wellness benefits and discounts at all city swimming pools. You will participate in staff meetings and APT together with colleagues from the operations.

The working hours are scheduled during weekdays during the day.

Your role

As a support assistant at Södermalm's daily operations, the LSS law and other legislation within social work form the basis.

You will work according to the assignment description for support assistants within the unit. The assignment includes, among other things:

• Follow the district's and unit's guidelines, routines, and policies.
• Document in Parasol
• Actively participate in staff meetings, APT, and planning days.
• Be a professional health creator
• Work independently and in a team

Your competence and experience

To work as a support assistant at Södermalm's daily operations, you need to have relevant education as a support assistant or equivalent, such as a care program with a focus on LSS.

Knowledge of AAC, Low-Arousal Approach, Motivational Interviewing, and autism is advantageous. Knowledge and experience of social documentation is a plus. We prefer that you have previous experience working in daily operations under LSS.

The work is social and involves many contacts with both the users' networks and, for example, healthcare, authorities, and other professionals. This means that you should master the Swedish language very well in both speech and writing.

We always check references and request extracts from the Police's criminal record before appointing a position.
