Welcome to Djupadal School!

Your mission involves being active in student groups in grade 4 during the school day. You support and motivate students, both at group and individual levels. In collaboration with teachers in the work team and other staff at the school, you design and develop the school’s learning environment to create a safe and stimulating operation that contributes to students’ learning and development. You work according to the school’s values.

Qualifications

You who are applying have a post-secondary education as a social pedagogue at either folk high school/vocational college/qualified vocational training or university level. Experience working with children, preferably in schools, as well as work as a social pedagogue or equivalent roles is considered meritorious. You have good insight and knowledge of the school’s governing documents and know how to apply them in daily work. Knowledge of the conditions for students in need of special support. You find strategies to reach each student and are good at creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. About the Workplace

Djupadal School is a F-6 school with approximately 570 students. Our goal is to be each student’s best school by finding strategies to reach every student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth. Djupadal School is a school with determined and motivated students, driven and knowledgeable staff, which is reflected in the good results that students achieve. The renovation and expansion of Djupadal School was completed for moving in autumn 2021 with facilities adapted to our operations. The school is located in a lovely green area with parks nearby. At Djupadal School, we work in grades F-3 in age-homogeneous work teams of three classes per grade, while grades 4-6 work in the same way but have an age-mixed after-school program. The work teams include primary school teachers, primary school teachers for special needs, and support personnel who together are responsible for the school day through teaching and collaboration as well as the after-school period in their respective departments.
