RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Safety Coordinator, you will have a key role where you work both strategically and operationally to ensure that our projects are conducted with the highest focus on safety and working environment.

You will be an important support to the project organization and have an active dialogue with our clients on issues related to working environment, electrical safety, and traffic safety. Through your competence and commitment, you contribute to creating safe workplaces where people thrive and develop. You will be placed in one of our maintenance contracts and have a central role in your work towards Division Support and the safety function. You will report to the site manager.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Establishing and developing working environment plans, safety plans, and risk assessments
• Participating in meetings with clients regarding working environment and safety
• Ensuring that safety regulations are communicated and followed
• Managing permissions for internal and hired personnel
• Supporting supervisors in planning safety measures
• Following up on workplace inspections and deviations
• Assisting the site manager in investigating incidents and proposing measures
• Ensuring that the project follows internal procedures, legal requirements, and client requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of Safety Coordinator, we see that you have a completed secondary education. You also have a post-secondary education in BEST railway, working environment, quality, or another relevant field. Alternatively, you have equivalent experience from working life. We consider it an advantage if you have the BASU-P training.

You have worked for at least two years in the railway or contracting industry and have good knowledge of electrical and traffic safety work. You also have good knowledge of traffic safety regulations for railways and other applicable regulations. In addition, you have a general technical understanding of railways. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of the Office suite. The position requires that you have a B driver's license and meet medical requirements to be approved for safety service.

As a person, you enjoy having many contact points and like to collaborate with others. You have a businesslike approach and work in a structured manner.
