Service Officer at Järfälla Municipality's Service Center

Do you want to make a difference for the residents of Järfälla every day? We are now looking for an engaged service officer for our service center – a workplace where service, collaboration, and development are at the core.

Järfälla Municipality's service center has been in operation since 2010 and is the residents' first point of contact with the municipality. We answer questions about all areas of the municipality via phone, email, and personal visits.

Our goal? To provide the best possible service – every time.

As a service officer

you are a key person in the contact with citizens and businesses. You provide qualified information and guidance in areas such as:

  • Urban Development Administration
  • Järfälla Business
  • General questions about the municipality

Common questions concern, for example, building permits, traffic, water and sewage, waste and recycling, as well as business-related inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the municipality and be the face of the Urban Development Administration and Järfälla Business.
  • Answer calls and log cases in our case management system.
  • Provide information and guidance via phone, email, and visits.
  • Collaborate with case officers and departments within the municipality.
  • Participate in improvement work, developing routines, knowledge databases, and working methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have:

  • High school education
  • At least 6 months of experience in customer service work
  • Very good computer skills, including the Office suite and information searching
  • Experience with telephone and case management systems
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to handle IT systems while communicating with citizens and businesses
  • Basic understanding of municipal organization and decision-making processes

Meritorious:

  • Post-secondary education in building permits, water and waste, environment, traffic, or parks
  • Experience with reporting issues, e.g., from property companies
  • Experience in case management within urban development
  • Guidance via web or social media
  • Experience with the EDP program, the municipality's system for water and waste subscriptions

You will cover for regular staff during their absence. We want you to be available to work both summer and other leave periods.
