At Forvis Mazars, we are looking for a meticulous and responsible Data Protection Lawyer who can take overall responsibility for our internal GDPR compliance and work to ensure well-functioning processes, clear routines, and secure handling of personal data throughout the organization.

Our Offer

As a Data Protection Lawyer at Forvis Mazars, you will focus on developing, coordinating, and managing our internal data protection work. The role will be central to our data protection efforts, and you will be an important enabler of order, structure, and compliance across the organization. You will work closely with our Chief Legal Officer and our IT team to ensure that our processes, routines, and working methods are clear, effective, and up to date.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage our RoPA (Record of Processing Activities) including guidelines for retention, storage, and access
• Lead and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and risk analyses related to systems, processes, and suppliers
• Review, negotiate, and quality assure data processing agreements and manage transfers to third countries
• Establish and improve governance, policies, and controls
• Drive and support incident management
• Train and support managers, system owners, and users

Additionally, other legal tasks, such as contract management and compliance, may also arise (depending on time and interest). The position offers significant development opportunities for the right person.

We Want to Get to Know You!

To succeed in the role of Data Protection Lawyer with us, we believe you have a natural ability to combine law, structure, and practical implementation. You are used to working analytically and meticulously and feel confident taking responsibility for processes, routines, and compliance. You have the ability to lead projects, conduct training, and support the organization in data protection matters. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of contract management, especially data processing agreements and transfers to third countries.

We would like you to have:

• Legal education (law degree or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Documented experience of GDPR compliance, including DPIA, RoPA, data processing agreements, and incident management
• Experience in both policy development and practical implementation of governance and controls (preferably according to ISO/IEC 27001)
• Experience/knowledge of NIS2 and CER preparedness is a plus
• Experience working at the intersection of IT, security, and business operations is a plus

The Stockholm office area includes our office in central Stockholm and the office in Eskilstuna.

In the summer of 2023, the Stockholm office moved to new, beautiful premises on Regeringsgatan, where about 100 people work closely together.
