About the trainee program:

Our trainee program is aimed at those who have one year left of their studies. The trainee program begins with 2 months of summer internship with us in Huddinge. You will receive hourly pay and a supervisor, and all trainees will, in addition to working in their respective departments, also carry out a joint project together. In the fall, there will probably be an opportunity for continued hourly employment, and in the spring, we may be able to collaborate on your thesis?

Trainee in environmental supervision: We in the environmental supervision department actively participate in the community building process by commenting on detailed plans and supervising the major infrastructure projects that the municipality is facing. We continuously work to develop our digital working methods and tools while maintaining a high level of service towards businesses and citizens. The environmental supervision department works with supervision and assessment in areas such as environmental protection, health protection, food, alcohol service, and tobacco sales. As a trainee in the environmental supervision department, you will learn about assessment and supervision primarily within the areas of the Environmental Code. You will also gain insight into what it is like to work in an authority and acquire knowledge about the Administrative Procedure Act and the Local Government Act. You will assist and learn from the environmental inspectors in the department by participating in the review of various forms of assessments and supervision.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is starting the last year of their university education to become an environmental and health protection inspector, environmental scientist, or studying another relevant environmental education. You are expected to graduate in the spring of 2027.

As a Trainee with us, it is important that you are proactive and creative with the ability to collaborate with others in a smooth and responsive manner. Other important qualities in the role are that you communicate clearly and that you are goal-oriented and curious to learn new things and enjoy making suggestions and ideas in the workgroup. It is important that you are good at expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the role of trainee involves being in many different contexts with several points of contact.
