About the job

The Driver Testing section is part of the Traffic Unit and has the main task of supervising driver testing, professional driver competence training, and regional public transport authorities. We are a total of thirteen employees located in 5 locations across the country: Umeå, Borlänge, Kista, Norrköping, and Gothenburg. The section is growing, and we are now looking for an inspector based in Gothenburg!

Your employment will begin with an introduction and various internal training sessions. To provide you with the right conditions for the job, you will also have a mentor during the training period to discuss with.

You will

  • work with supervision of driver testing and professional driver competence training, including case handling
  • develop selection, methods, and feedback for supervision
  • be involved and assist in the section's other areas of activity and, if necessary, support other sections within the Traffic Unit
  • influence various stakeholders through information and collaboration
  • provide external information within our area of activity.

The work requires travel within the country.

You must have

  • completed upper secondary education
  • current experience in investigation and/or making decisions based on legislation
  • excellent ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English
  • driver's license for categories B and C.

It is meritorious if you also have

  • a higher education/university degree of 120/180 credits or a relevant vocational education
  • experience working with system supervision/quality controls
  • current relevant experience in the field of driver testing
  • current relevant experience in pedagogical work or equivalent experience that we assess as comparable
  • driver's license for categories CE, D, and/or DE
  • holding a professional competence certificate

The employment is permanent with placement in Gothenburg.

Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period.

As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the business and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in a security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
