Description
The Archive and Information Structure is a support function at Sahlgrenska University Hospital responsible for the lifecycle management of the authority's public documents.
The unit's services include requirements specification, archiving, digitization, information retrieval, confidentiality assessment, disclosure of public documents, and advisory services.

We are now looking for engaged and structured officers who want to be part of our team and contribute to a legally secure and efficient handling of the disclosure of medical records within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
As an archive officer, you will search, read, and assess the confidentiality of medical records prior to disclosure. The work involves telephone contact with individuals, authorities, healthcare providers, and other private actors.
Your tasks will include:
- Confidentiality assessment of public documents
- Preparation of decision-making materials.
- Making independent decisions based on legislation, such as the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), the Patient Data Act (PDL), and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL).
- Documentation and record-keeping in our case management systems and healthcare administrative systems.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and has good administrative skills. You enjoy working independently but also find it easy to collaborate with others.
Furthermore, you are solution-oriented and analytical, which allows you to understand complex issues and find the right way forward. You have excellent reflective abilities and can maintain focus. You thrive on handling multiple cases simultaneously and have the ability to prioritize your work effectively.
Since the position involves contact with both healthcare providers, patients, and authorities, we are looking for someone with good communication skills and a strong sense of service. You can handle sensitive matters in a professional and empathetic manner, showing understanding for individuals' different needs and situations.
As we are an archive operation that handles both digital and physical documents, it is important that you have a good understanding of document management, information security, and relevant regulations. You are meticulous in your work and have an interest in ensuring that information is handled correctly and made accessible according to applicable legislation.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability in the appointment process.
Requirements
- A degree from a university or college in, for example, political science, social work, law, or another field deemed suitable by the employer.
- Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- A correct and clear use of language.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite.
- Good computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
Meritorious
- Experience in administrative work, handling, or investigation of public documents, preferably within healthcare, government, region, or other public sector.
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations within the healthcare sector, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the principle of public access.
- Experience working in healthcare administrative systems, such as Melior, Obstetrix, Elvis, Barium.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
The position is location-bound, with no possibility for remote work.
