We are looking for a Deacon 100%

Nödinge Parish is located just north of Gothenburg, along the Göta River with approximately 5000 members. We are here for the people in Surte, Bohus, and Nödinge, and the parish is experiencing an influx from Greater Gothenburg.

We are looking for a 100% deacon who wants to develop Nödinge Parish's diaconal profile and work.

The position includes:

Soup lunches, daytime activities, distribution of food packages, home visits, teaching, and missionary work.

The parish has a thriving children's ministry as well as preschool activities. We would like you to be involved in these contexts.

The work also includes outreach activities and collaboration with other actors in the local area, such as BRÅ (Crime Prevention Council), POSOM, and developing the parish's cooperation with community service and social services, as well as other networking efforts such as contact with businesses and associations.

Participation in services and worship at care and nursing homes, as well as in the parish's worship life, is included. Work during major holidays is also required.

• We are looking for someone who is ordained as a deacon in the Church of Sweden.
• You have experience and interest in working in a parish with networking, pastoral care, and deepening.
• You are well-grounded in the faith and tradition of the Church of Sweden.
• You will complement the team with diaconal competence.
• We value personal maturity and social competence.
• You need to be able to work independently and take responsibility for structuring and driving the work forward.
• We welcome you to contribute your experiences so that we can improve what we already do.

A driver's license and preferably access to a personal car are advantageous.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

The position is full-time and the start date will be agreed upon.
