In Vara, there is a varied and exciting assignment with 2 of our adult clients. These 2 young girls live with their families in separate houses in Vara. What they have in common is that their families come from Croatia and are good friends. They also need help with everything in their daily lives. They have epilepsy and are wheelchair-bound. We are now looking for someone who can work with both girls.

We need you to have a calm and secure personality while also being able to encourage, motivate, and empower. Significant caregiving needs and home training are an important part of the daily work as a personal assistant for these cheerful girls. Work shifts are scheduled for afternoons/evenings and weekends. However, the most important thing is that you can and want to work in Vara.

The Role and Experience of the Assistant

Our assistants need to be attentive and observant of small signals and work in a low-arousal manner. You must be naturally calm and secure. It is also important that communication with the girls works, so it is essential that you can communicate fluently in Swedish or Croatian.

Introduction and training take place at the workplaces of each client. We want you as an assistant to feel secure in your role and for you and your client to feel comfortable with each other, which is why you start with introductory shifts where you shadow a colleague. We are primarily looking for the right person.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working with individuals who have epilepsy
• Experience working with low-arousal approaches.

Working Hours/Employment Degree

• We are looking for at least one assistant on a fixed schedule with one client.
• And a substitute for the other.

• We apply salary according to Fremia, collective agreement.
