Your Future Challenge

We need to complement our team with another competent employee who wants to work with system installation. You will be offered a fun and interesting job where you will be involved in designing wiring and mechanical parts for the installation of the entire electrical system in aircraft. You will also have the opportunity to drive improvements and develop our methodology together with colleagues.

You will belong to a team of about 25 people within the System Installation Design area. This area is responsible for system installation in Saab's flying products, such as Gripen and T-7. Our design is present throughout the aircraft, which means you will gain broad product knowledge and communicate a lot with other areas within the Gripen business unit.

As an Electrical Installation Designer, your main tasks will include:

• Designing wiring and mechanical parts in CATIA V5, from concept to finished product. The documentation is produced according to the latest MBD methodology, completely drawing-free.
• Close collaboration with other designers in the area, as well as with other disciplines such as fuselage design, structural integrity, and production technology.
• Studies for the introduction of new functionality in our existing products.
• Support to production and our customers with operational aircraft.

The Person You Are Today

We are looking for someone with an education (e.g., YH, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering) and work experience in design or another relevant technical field. Experience in manufacturing wiring, mechanics, electromechanics, or related areas is an advantage. If you have a background in or interest in aviation, we also consider that a merit.

We also see that you have good CAD skills, and it is a plus if you have worked in CATIA V5. For the job, it is also required that you have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are not afraid to come up with initiatives and ideas in your work, and we appreciate that you have an interest in product development. You are also used to collaborating with others and have the ability to communicate with both team members and other colleagues outside your workgroup. You have the ability to work in a structured manner and are open to adapting to new conditions in your work.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. Positions where Saab has requirements for security classification may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
