About Us

Youth clinics are for all young people from 13 to 24 years old.

All clinics are LGBTQ-certified and operate under a joint collaboration agreement for the Västra Götaland region and the 49 municipalities of the county. The youth clinics of Regionhälsan are continuously developing their services to provide high-quality care in mental, psychosocial, as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The youth clinics are a low-threshold service where young people can easily seek help and support. We offer high accessibility and provide youth with person-centered care. The youth clinics in Regionhälsan are present throughout Västra Götaland and complement the region's other health and medical care. In Fyrbodal, we have 15 youth clinics and a clinic for young men located in Trollhättan.

About the Job

As a doctor at the youth clinics, you will work directly with patients, making assessments, diagnostics, referrals, and being part of the team for consultations on medical and psychosocial issues. You will also participate in medical meetings, competency-enhancing initiatives, and improvement work.

About You

We are looking for a licensed physician with a specialization in general medicine, or alternatively, another specialization relevant to the work. We expect you to have a good understanding of the biological and psychological development of young people. Experience in sexology, gynecology, and andrology is considered an asset. It is also positive if you have experience working with youth and young adults.

As a person, you are interested in working in outpatient care. It is important that you are flexible and engaged. You enjoy teamwork and are good at collaborating and communicating. You also have a professional approach towards patients and others in the team.

Conditions

The position involves working at several clinics, in at least three different locations – Uddevalla, Trollhättan, and Vänersborg. Additional travel to surrounding municipalities may be required as needed.
