Description

Do you want to be part of our team and together with the student health staff, the school staff, and our students build long-term work? Are you a person with the ability to work both in a team and individually on various student health issues?

We are looking for someone with a nursing license and specialist education with a degree as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or district nurse equivalent to at least 60 credits.

We want you to be able to work in a structured manner and plan your work. The position as a school nurse requires collaboration skills and that you are secure in your role. If you are also solution-oriented and have a relational approach, you might be the one we are looking for.

Responsibilities

You will be part of the schools' student health work, where the main purpose is to work preventively and health-promoting as well as to remove barriers to learning.

The medical service of student health consists of school nurses and school doctors. As a staff member in student health, you will work evidence-based with promoting and preventive student health work to create accessible learning environments and remove barriers to learning for Nya Skolan's students. The work is done in close collaboration with other professionals within student health as well as at the school and in cooperation with school management, students, and guardians.

The Educators at Nya Skolan

Our educators work in teams where they have a shared responsibility for all students included in the team. When students are at school, the educators are present in the activities. In the afternoons, the educator prepares, documents, and plans the activities together with their team.

Pedagogically, we work with wholes. We want to teach children to see connections and to develop conscious and reflective thinking. We work across subjects and are happy to find new, creative ways to stimulate students' search for knowledge.

You should have insight into the school's governing documents and the laws that govern the school's operations. We see that you are an open person who is calm and secure in yourself and where collaboration is seen as a given since we work in teams and project form.

You are positively inclined towards the development of the operations and the educational environment. You are creative, proactive, and self-driven, and you easily adapt to changing circumstances.

Educators at Nya Skolan work in teams, share responsibilities, and help each other.

Nya Skolan works with age-integrated groups. The division is flexible and adapted according to pedagogical needs and the children's interests and maturity. Together we create an atmosphere where knowledge is fun and learning is an exciting adventure. Pedagogically, Nya Skolan works with wholes, teaching children to see connections, and developing conscious and reflective thinking. We work across subjects and are happy to find new, creative ways to stimulate children's search for knowledge. It is about taking advantage of children's natural drive - curiosity - in all situations.

Students and teachers jointly set goals for what the student should do each week. The starting point is that the student is involved in their own learning.

Qualifications

The work as a school nurse is varied and stimulating. You provide and vaccinate according to the national childhood vaccination program and conduct health visits based on the basic program for school health care. In addition, the student health's medical service offers simpler medical interventions and participates in school doctor appointments. You collaborate with other healthcare institutions and write referrals as needed. You contribute your medical knowledge at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

The work as a school nurse also includes responsibilities in Prorenata. Therefore, experience working in Prorenata is an advantage.

You support the schools' educational work and regularly participate in the schools' local student health teams, and follow the operational plan and annual cycle established for the medical service of student health.

Conditions

The position is 50% with a workplace at one or more of our units in Trollhättan and Lilla Edet, starting as agreed.

Nya Skolan applies a 6-month probationary period. Presentation of a criminal record extract is mandatory. We place great importance on personal suitability, and recruitment is ongoing.
