RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school psychologist, you work to ensure that all children and students are given the best conditions to succeed in school. You will be an important part of supporting the student health teams by providing psychological expertise. You will collaborate with counselors, school nurses, special educators, study and career counselors, teachers, and school management.

In your role as a school psychologist, you will conduct assessments and evaluations of students, groups, and organizations to contribute knowledge about the conditions for learning and the need for support. You will also provide guidance and consultation to staff at the schools. The work will also involve training initiatives to enhance competence within the organization. You are responsible for continuous documentation of your work in the student health journal system.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Psychological assessments and evaluations
• Consultation to staff
• Being part of the school's student health work and school development
• Competence-enhancing initiatives for staff groups

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist with Swedish authorization.

• You can communicate psychological knowledge in an easily understandable way
• You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively
• You can contribute both critical thinking and humility towards others' perspectives and competencies
• You have good structure and continuity in your work
• You are comfortable giving lectures and workshops
• You are experienced in providing guidance/consultation to other professional groups besides psychologists
• Experience in the school sector or other activities aimed at the same target group is an advantage.
• You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You find it easy to independently plan and organize your work in collaboration with the schools based on the assignments assigned to you. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have the ability to create and maintain trusting relationships. You are positively inclined to share your knowledge with others and want to develop both yourself and the organization you work in. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
