We are now looking for a self-driven dental nurse who understands the importance of good service and a positive approach

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

At Folktandvården Åmål/Mellerud, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs.

As a dental nurse with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well treated and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full competence while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting in examinations and treatments
• Working with your own patients during prophylaxis treatments, onboarding, oral health counseling, or acclimatization treatments
• Working in the sterilization area and reception

We are a clinical training facility and accept students from the dental and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervising/assisting students may also be part of the job.

We see patients of various ages, both adults and children with different care needs. We have 11 treatment rooms where 6 dentists, 3 dental hygienists, and 10 dental nurses work together.

Qualifications and Profile

• Trained dental nurse with education from MYH (The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to independently manage administration
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to maintain a stable and calm demeanor even when busy
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly qualified dental nurses.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for interviews at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 5 and 6.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
