Welcome to Herrestad Health Center! We are a well-established health center with approximately 10,000 registered patients.

Here you will encounter a varied everyday life where residents seek our help in all situations – from acute illnesses to chronic conditions, and from children to the elderly.

We have general practitioners, district nurses, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants working with us. We also have several employees who research part-time, demonstrating our strong interest in development. We work in teams where all professions are represented. We also have access to a social worker, psychotherapist, psychologist, and rehabilitation coordinator in our psychosocial team.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide range of responsibilities and cover the field of general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-oriented in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You will work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up on patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally within the team. Collaboration also takes place with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you and your colleagues are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervising students is also included in your role at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. Previous experience working at a health center is an advantage. If you have further training in Asthma/COPD, that is also advantageous or if you have an interest in educating yourself about Asthma/COPD.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks. In your work, you will meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We also appreciate if you have an interest in digitization and operational development.

Travel in the job may occur, a driver's license is desirable.

About the recruitment process

The selection process takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
