We are now looking for a self-driven dental nurse who understands the importance of good service and proper interaction.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Orofacial medicine is a broad specialty that takes care of patients referred for treatment issues related to psychological or physical disabilities, patients with complex medical diseases/medications, mucosal changes, and we also work with anesthesia dentistry.

The Specialist Clinic for Orofacial Medicine in Skövde consists of 11 employees, who are part of the Specialist Dental Care jointly in Skövde. We belong to Folktandvården Västra Götaland and are the health promoter within Swedish dental care. Our premises are located at Skaraborg Hospital (SkaS) Skövde, where we receive patients who have been referred by colleagues in Folktandvården, private dental care, and health care. Always with a professional approach and high competence.

All other specialties in dentistry are available in Skövde, both within Folktandvården and SkaS. At the Specialist Dental Care jointly in Skövde, there are also specialties in dental physiology, endodontics, oral prosthetics, periodontology, and pedodontics. Today, we have about 50 employees working with us.

The position includes, among other things:

• Managing customer contacts, appointments, and invitations
• Assisting in examinations and treatments, as well as during surgeries and anesthesia
• Handling other administrative tasks such as communication with healthcare
• Participating in the clinic's development work with your colleagues
• Work in the sterilization area and reception may occur

Competence Requirements and Profile

• Qualified dental nurse with education from MYH (The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in patients with special needs
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to independently manage administration
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to convey a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

Furthermore, we consider it desirable if you...

• Have experience working in general dental care
• Are interested in healthcare and its connection to dental treatment
• Are comfortable taking care of all types of patients, including those who are seriously ill

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly qualified dental nurses.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed within Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 47 and 48.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
