Team Leader for the Emergency Department at NÄL
NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.
We are looking for a team leader to lead and develop the Emergency Department at NÄL!
The Emergency Department at NÄL is the largest in the Västra Götaland Region with approximately 70,000 visits per year, making us one of the largest in the country.
We are looking for someone who wants to lead and develop the emergency department together with employees and the unit manager. Your overall task will be to coordinate and lead the daily work and relieve the unit manager.
Your mission and role
You will be responsible for staff planning together with team leaders and the unit manager. You will plan and structure schedules to ensure optimal staffing based on operational requirements such as patient safety and work environment. This includes short-term staffing, leave, and sick leave. In consultation with team leaders and the unit manager, you will work with daily management and various other tasks, both administrative and operational based on the needs of the business. You will also partially work in the operations in your profession.
As a team leader, you have the ability to balance the roles of employee and supervisory function.
In your role, you also act as a role model and are responsible for leading and developing your employees in an inspiring and inclusive way. It is also important that you drive change together with the employees, which requires a responsive and inclusive leadership where you also take responsibility for strengthening NU Health Care's reputation as an employer.
Qualifications
You have a relevant upper secondary education in health and social care to be able to work within our operations. You have good organizational, collaboration, and communication skills. You are a service-oriented person who enjoys a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. You take great personal responsibility and can manage having many balls in the air. A good ability to collaborate and create trusting relationships will be required, as the work involves a lot of contact with employees and managers. It is an advantage if you have experience working in an emergency department, have worked with TESSA, and have good IT skills.
