About our open position

In the role of junior doctor in infectious diseases, you will be part of a medical team with a good atmosphere and camaraderie.

Your main duties will include clinical work on the ward with standard responsibilities. You will participate in our rotated on-call duty in the emergency department.

The position is a temporary contract lasting until 2026-08-31, with a start date as soon as possible by agreement.

About us

The Infectious Disease Unit has 11 specialist doctors and 7 resident doctors. In addition to operations at SÄS Borås and SÄS Skene, the unit provides consulting services in Alingsås.

In 2021, the construction of the New Infection Unit was completed. The building includes a ward with 28 single rooms divided into four modules, a reception, a needle exchange program, and infection control. Our new facilities support a modern working method, innovative thinking, and more engaged patients.

We have a wide range of infectious disease diagnoses in both inpatient and outpatient care.

Your profile

We prefer that you have a Swedish medical license, but those with a medical degree are also welcome to apply. You must have a command of the Swedish language at least at level C1. We expect you to be structured and meticulous and appreciate working in a team-based environment.
