About Our Job Opening

As a specialist physician in the medicine department with us in the medical area, you will strengthen our team and work closely with the department's nurses and nursing assistants.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to initiate and drive development based on knowledge and interest, in consultation with the rest of the team. As a specialist physician, you will mentor resident and specialist training physicians as well as medical students. The medical team typically consists of specialists, resident physicians, and sometimes other medical staff and medical students.

With us, you are a key person and will join a great team that cares for each other and the organization. As a specialist physician, you are an integral part of the medical group, and you will be offered both internal and external training and courses. We are in a phase of rebuilding the medicine department and want to build a strong team for the future. The medicine department has 24 beds and treats patients within the diagnostic groups of general internal medicine, nephrology, pulmonology, and gastroenterology.

About Us

The medical area (VO) is one of the hospital's largest areas and has a wide range of specialists in general internal medicine, cardiology, hematology, pulmonology, allergology, nephrology, gastroenterology, diabetes, endocrinology, and oncology. We have a significant educational mission with large parts of the medical education's internal medicine course located at SÄS. We are proud to call ourselves a university hospital unit, which signifies a quality stamp on our research and educational capacity.

The medical area is organized into three sections: hematology/oncology section, pulmonology/gastroenterology/endocrinology/internal medicine/nephrology section, and cardiology section. Within the sections, there are medical directors, responsible senior physicians, and unit managers who lead the development of the work.

Our mission is to provide internal medicine care for the residents in our catchment area, and we do this with great and dedicated commitment.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license and who is a specialist in internal medicine. You must be proficient in Swedish at a minimum level of C1. It is advantageous for the position if you have several years of experience and possibly a subspecialty. We place great importance on your communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, we expect you to have a desire to contribute to building up the medicine department. We see that you build a theme around you and work to ensure that our operations develop effectively and create a positive work climate. We place particular emphasis on personal suitability in connection with recruitment.
