About us

Come and work with us! We are an oncology department with 15 beds caring for patients with breast cancer, thyroid cancer, anal cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, and unknown primary tumors.

We are a great team working closely together: nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, dietitians, physiotherapists, and administrative staff among others. Together we create the conditions for the best possible care and treatment of our patients.

The treatments provided during hospitalization primarily include radiation, chemotherapy, and radionuclide therapy, both for curative and palliative purposes. We also care for patients with symptoms resulting from the cancer disease or treatment, and some are cared for until the end of life. We welcome both those new to the profession and those who have been in the field for a long time!

All our employees undergo radiation safety training and chemotherapy certification. We offer credit courses in oncology and the opportunity to study the specialist nursing program in oncology. You have the opportunity to influence your schedule, as we create individual schedules in at least ten-week periods in ISP, based on health schedules. The work hours are scheduled for day/evening/weekend.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include the usual tasks for a nurse in an oncology ward.

About you

You must be a licensed nurse. Specialist nurse in oncology and/or experience in oncology care is an advantage.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, it includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the relevant position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
