Job Responsibilities

The work involves conducting teaching within the field of political science. The teaching covered by the positions includes the following:

• Comparative Politics
• International Politics
• Environmental Politics and Sustainable Development
• Supervision and examination of bachelor's theses
• Grading of exams

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible for employment is someone who has demonstrated pedagogical skills and has completed a political science higher education at least at the advanced level or has equivalent competence or other skills that are significant in relation to the subject matter of the position and the tasks included in the employment.

All teaching positions at Stockholm University require that the applicant has the ability to collaborate and is otherwise suitable to perform the tasks. To be considered eligible, the applicant must have documented experience from work with education at the university level.

Since the teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English, the applicant must master both languages at a very good level, both orally and in writing.

Assessment Criteria

In the selection of eligible applicants, special emphasis will be placed on pedagogical skills and experience in teaching at the university level. Special attention will also be given to skills demonstrated through teaching in the areas covered by the positions. Furthermore, consideration will be given to documented relevant professional skills that are significant. Good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards students and colleagues are highly valued.

The university will primarily consider those who, after a comprehensive assessment of competence, qualifications, skills, and personal abilities, have the best conditions to carry out the current tasks and contribute to a positive development of the operations.

Meritorious is higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.

About the Position

The position is part-time at 60% and is temporary for five months. The position of lecturer at Stockholm University does not entail opportunities for promotion to higher scientific positions. Immediate start.
